Growth Along Spiritual Lines

“We all are so deeply interconnected; we have no option but to love all. Be kind and do good for any one and that will be reflected. The ripples of the kind heart are the highest blessings of the Universe.” ― Amit Ray

This spiritual concept known to many of us is lost in its translation.  What is it we’re trying to do when we think about growing along spiritual lines?  Become one with the universe? Achieve something remarkable received for the few?

The question belongs to each of us to answer in our own way.  Some may consider it a discipline, a practice of certain behaviors that are pleasing and positive to ourselves and those around us. Tolerance, forgiveness, and loving-kindness are but a few examples.

It is the absolute opposite of negative thinking and behaviors associated
with selfish outcomes.

Growing along spiritual lines begs questions of how humility can best be presented. Sometimes it means stepping aside, out of our way, while allowing others to be who they are regardless of our opinion.  We regularly examine our motives before we take one course or another.  Is what we think we need to do for the highest good, period? No, not just for ourselves.

If our Creator was standing before us, what would our answer be?

We sometimes think growth along parallels of our Creator should be grandiose, or cost money, or be in the form of a statement but it is just the opposite.  It begins small, in our daily awareness as we put one foot in front of the other. We see it in acceptance of our moments, where we live in the present.

Acceptance is the level for a change of any kind, to begin. One breath at a time, we alter our thinking and practice how we want to seen by others. How do we want to be perceived by family, friends and work associates? How do we want to be heard by our children?

What is the easier-softer way to react, to respond, or to show those virtues we want to magnify as we imagine walking along spiritual lines? As we focus on the answers, we will find them. When this happens, energy is made available to us through the power of discernment, to KNOW THEM and to become that recreated person of spiritual principles, as we practice our new growth along spiritual lines.
